Duggal Visual Solution creates beautiful digital photographic prints, giclee pigment prints and canvases in various sizes for home decor or retail display, mounting or framing them in elegant, appealing applications, including our signature Floating Gallery Plexi Mounts.
Duggal’s most recent innovative addition is the The Innovation lab. It is more than a location, more even than a set of skills, more even than a cadre of specialized staff, though it is all these aspects in the aggregate. It is a force that consists of a team of designers, each of whom have profound understanding of a core Duggal capability, along with essential personnel who lead the consultation with clients to comprehend, summarize, and communicate the needs of each project. The Lab also is made up of researchers who probe and examine the changing dynamics of visual atmospheric experience through the latest technological tools and applications.
This Lab in essence takes what we currently call Duggal Design Services and enhances it with exploration of how well crafted visual content coupled with innovative digital display technologies and well crafted displays can influence human engagement in the spaces of physical interaction and virtual experience. Empowering retail environments, museums, events, hospitality venues and showrooms
The Innovations Lab has won many awards for its designs including Best in Show at Global Shop in 2016.
Duggal has captured a great deal of attention over the years for its quality work and capabilities. We have been featured on The CBS Morning Show, CNN Anderson Cooper 360, TODAY, ABC Business Week News, Building America TV (CBS), and How to Succeed in Business (CNBC).
Duggal has also been prominently featured in print media, with articles in such publications as The New York Times, Digital Photo Pro, Photo District News and dozens of photography publications around the world. The The Washington Post referred to Duggal as “The legendary Manhattan custom lab.”
Duggal has won many awards throughout its 55 years of operation; in 2016 alone, Duggal won 2 HP Inkspiration awards, a CODA/X award, Wide Format Imaging Top Shop and IIDA (International Interior Design Association) designers as Best of Competition and Best in Booth Design at Global Shop 2016 in Las Vegas.
Duggal has long been a strong civic citizen, a fervent supporter of charitable organizations and a patron to the art world. We have helped such organizations as Habitat for Humanity, the Guggenheim Museum, Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Arts for Transit, The Fresh Air Fund, Gay Men’s Health Crisis, The Tribeca Film Festival, VA Hospitals, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and The Holocaust Museum to name a few.
Duggal’s history is one of innovation. Duggal was incorporated in 1963 by our late founder, Baldev Duggal, who used his ingenuity and keen understanding of photography to design and build the first Dip and Dunk film processing machine, which revolutionized film developing and remained the core to processing technology for decades.
Starting in the late 1980s, Duggal again invested aggressively in new technology to vault the company forward. Duggal was the first company to introduce sophisticated RGB drum scanning and electronic retouching for photographers. The company was an early adopter to digital and wide format printing. In 1993, the company was the first to ever wrap an entire building in a wide format visual.
Investing in the latest technology while not forgetting our artistic roots has been the guiding principle for the company and Chief Executive Officer Michael Duggal. He joined Duggal Visual Solutions in 1995 and took over operations in 2002 as CEO. He had been set about building the logistics and scale to bring what the company learned serving the world’s top artists and museums to premium retail stores, design firms and corporate clients who want to stand apart from their competition.
Today Duggal Visual Solutions, Inc. continues that tradition by having an unequaled combination of the latest printing, display and digital signage and content capability. The company continues to grow and serve a who’s who list of top corporations, museums and artists including nearly a third of the Fortune 100.
Duggal is a certified 100% minority owned business. The company is an equal opportunity employer with a diverse staff and management of 340+ experienced professionals and technicians dedicated to providing the highest level of service for our customers.
