Duggal is seeking hard working, organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated individuals to operate our state-of-the-art, computerized digital printing and cutting equipment. At least two years experience in the operation of any industrial type machinery is required.

Positions available include:
– Printing technician
– Cutting Equipment Technician

Essential Requirements:
·      Basic math skills (measuring, use of calculator, etc.)
·      Keep work area clean, safe and secure.
·      Follow all quality assurance procedures, including verification of job instructions, setup, quality and integrity of printed pieces throughout run.
·      Monitor and report supply levels and equipment condition as necessary.
·      Independently and proficiently perform mechanical adjustments/operator maintenance, and preventative maintenance procedures.
·      Must be willing to read and understand machine operation manuals.
·      Stage appropriate materials for each job as necessary.
·      Fix and report all issues to manager.
·      Multi task and prioritize based on business needs.
·      Proven experience working in a team environment.
·      Overtime, weekend, and holiday work required as needed.
·      IMPORTANT: Must be capable of locating and moving heavy materials without assistance.

Qualifications:
·      Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic. Integrity is paramount.
·      Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent.
·      Good punctuality and attendance.

Sales Engineer: Digital Signage & Interactive Experiences

ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Sales Engineer for Digital Signage and Interactive Experiences will play an important part in the continued growth of Duggal’s Media Solutions team, dedicated to offering networked digital signage and interactive media solutions to Duggal’s customers interested in adding digital displays to their print campaigns. The Sales Engineer will work in New York City directly with Duggal’s large and well-connected Sales team to:

·      Understand client needs and work face to face with client representatives during sales phase

·      Work with the Media Solutions and Fabrication teams to prototype and design final solutions

·      Help develop project pricing

·      Present solutions to the client that fit scope and budget

·      Document installation plans and needs

·      Ensure final installations are to spec

·      Train customer staff (if required)

 

Outside of project timelines, this position will research and understand emerging trends in digital signage and interactive media (e.g. Bluetooth Beacons, mobile application use and statistics, evolving display technologies such as UHD/4K, and Content Management System options). They will work with the rest of the Media Solutions team to educate the Sales team through an ongoing communication process, including informal tours of interesting projects in NYC locations, and occasional education newsletters.

This position will act as the lead contact for Duggal’s largest digital signage client – managed out of Duggal’s Portland, OR office – providing technical and content solutions to the client lead. This person will work closely with the Portland team to understand client needs and offer occasional customer support.

This position reports to the VP of Operations who is based out of Duggal’s Portland, OR office.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Personal Skills:

·      Excellent interpersonal skills to work with the Duggal Sales team and their clients.

·      Excellent writing skills for project proposals and daily client project communications.

·      Critical thinking skills for solutions proposals and pricing.

·      Ability to convey complex technical ideas and attributes in accessible terms, for customers who may not have equal levels of technical acumen.

·      Availability and willingness to travel outside the New York market for sales meetings, potentially for several days.

 

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

·      Experience operating digital signage software platforms, including but not limited to:

·      Scala Content Manager and Player

·      Brightsign players, Network, and BrightAuthor

·      Real Digital Media’s Neocast

·      Experience installing and calibrating various display solutions, including but not limited to:

·      Commercial LCD technologies

·      Commercial LED wall technologies

·      Commercial projectors (alignment and calibration)

·      Experience using or selling HTML5 or similar interactive development solutions (software engineering ability welcome but not required).

·      Experience managing custom software development projects

·      Experience with content creation tools such as After Effects or professional non-Linear Video Editing suites (expertise in media creation not required, but ability to construct demo content for sales purposes will be strongly considered).

·      A keen interest and steadily enhanced knowledge of emerging technologies that impact retailers and brands.

 

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE (VALUED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL)

·      Experience working on digital and/or print signage projects for medium to large retail, and for brands

·      Project Management

·      Sourcing and Procurement

 

EDUCATION

4-year College degree preferred
