Fashion Fact #6 -Haute Couture

Haute Couture is a term used to describe luxury or high-end fashion. It is often used loosely in a generic sense but for a company to be able to use the words “Haute Couture,” they must meet strict guidelines for quality. Loosely translated into “high sewing” or “ high dressmaking,” Haute Couture originated with the work of English fashion designer Charles Fredrick Worth.
