[INSIDER] NEW YORK #56 – Jeffrey's Hook Lighthouse

Jeffrey’s Hook Lighthouse: Jeffrey’s Hook Lighthouse, A.K.A. The Little Red Lighthouse, is a small lighthouse on the Hudson River (under the George Washington Bridge) in New York City. The lighthouse was originally built in 1880 and then moved to its current site in 1921. It became famous because of the children’s book, The Little Red Lighthouse by Hildegarde H. Swift, published in 1942.
