The Metropolitan Opera Unveils New Donor Plaque at 50th Anniversary Gala

Supporters of the Metropolitan Opera saw the unveiling of a new addition to the Metropolitan Opera House in Lincoln Center during the organization’s momentous 50th Anniversary Gala held on May 7, 2017.

As The Met celebrated a golden milestone featuring some of the greatest artists in the opera, visitors noticed an elegant and eye-catching donor plaque prominently displayed in the theatre’s Grand Tier staircase. Duggal Visual Solutions designed and produced the piece, deviating from a traditional, heavy-bronze design for a sleek, modern aesthetic.

Duggal’s fabrication team provided expert material consulting and a marble-esque synthetic substrate to achieve The Met’s vision for the plaque, while also working within size and timeline constraints. Removable nameplates allow the organization to easily add names of donors while maintaining a permanent, timeless appearance. To learn more about supporting The Metropolitan Opera, click here.
