T.A.G. (Teen Art Gallery) Exhibition Opens 4/7/17

Featuring artwork in a variety of mediums by teens from all around the world, T.A.G. (www.teenart.gallery) opens a short run exhibition Friday 4/7/17 from 4pm to 7:30 pm.

Per the organization’s mission statement, “Teen Art Gallery (T.A.G.) was founded in 2011 by a high school senior and has been mounting shows of works by people under 20 ever since. Run by a group of high school students, Teen Art Gallery is committed to creating opportunities for young people to share their art with wider audiences. By showing teenagers’ works in professional settings, Teen Art Gallery aims to provide visibility and recognition to work that would otherwise remain unseen.

Some of Teen Art Gallery’s previous venues include Creative Time, BravinLee Programs, and Salon 94. Teen Art Gallery’s past shows have received media attention from outlets such as the New York Times, Teen Vogue, Paper and the Huffington Post.

T.A.G.’s most recent show, b. 1995-2000, was held August 20, 2015 to August 22, 2015 at Temporary Storage Galleries, Brooklyn Fire Proof and showcased approximately 30 works by young artists. The works were selected from a pool of more than 800 submissions from teenagers from twenty-two states and three continents.”
