The Roof Garden Commission: Imran Qureshi

Imran Qureshi, a Pakistani artist creates something so unique on the roof of the MoMA. Known for his contemporary miniature paintings, Qureshi approaches a large-scale installation of wet paint splattered across the floor. The spattered paint resembles floral potteries that the wind of the MoMa’s roof top courtyard.

Eighteenth-Century Pastels

Throughout this exhibit you will view prime examples of artwork from a period of the impressionist era. The first known pastels where used in 14954 by Leonardo da Vinci. These paintings show how pastels were considered paintings.

Llyn Foulkes

An influential Foulkes makes a work of art stand out for its raw, and visceral qualities. As a traditional west coast artist, Foulkes has consistently challenge his viewing audiences with his work. This is truly a unique exhibition that takes place at the New Museum of Contemporary Art.
