Visions of Land and Sea

Philadelphia native William Trost Richards was one of the finest landscape painters of the 19th century.  This exhibit features sixty works of art from the National Museum’s permanent collection. These pieces have never been viewed by the public. It’s a great way to see how some of the finest art work is displayed from past centuries.

Jeff Koons: The Painter and the Sculptor

Jeff Koon’s paintings and sculptures exhibition has an assortment of art work that Koon is known for. Mirrored balloon animals of tinted primary colors and spotlights catch the eyes of many. There are many interesting and odd pieces, such as an inflatable hulk pushing a wheelbarrow and a pyramid of large plastic balls. There are plenty of surprises throughout the exhibit.

The Art of the Brick

As kids most of us played with Legos. Nathan Sawaya’s incredible sculptures are entirely made of brick Legos. Many of the sculptures are made up as peace signs to detailed paintings. There are more than 100 impressive pieces, which are for all ages to see and enjoy.

HBO Bryant Park Film Festival

Bryant Park will be hosting the nation’s premier outdoor film festival. Many classic films will be brought together on the big screen. This will be the 21st consecutive year for the film festival. Movies begin at sunset.
