Playing with Fire

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, American Studio of Glass will be featuring over 100 works of glass art from their collection. Its beauty and power of materials shows a process mostly focusing on the quality and technique of how glass is used in a form of art. The Museum of Arts and Design will show off this unique exhibition all summer long.

Ken Price Sculpture: A Retrospective

Kevin Price’s first major museum exhibition is being held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art all summer long. His unique ceramic sculptures show a range of luminously glazed forms and unique shapes. There are sixty-five examples of Price’s work done throughout this exhibition from the late 50’s to present day.

12×12 Project

This display shows a model of a sustainably-build house, which is off the grid tiny. It is a simple modular space with a rainwater butterfly roof. Inside the Queens Botanical Garden you will find the detailed experience of this structure as it grows and evolves as various artist take over the space. Check out many artists exhibitions throughout the summer.

Washington Square Music Festival

Now in its 55th season the Washing Square Park will be holding its annual music festival. Every Tuesday of this month you can experience many different genres and culture of music. Every family member will enjoy this  weekly event. Seating is on a first come first serve basis. Get there early!
