5 Head-Turning Beauty Brand Displays

The importance of appearance in the beauty industry goes beyond products and services, into the world of advertising and retail design. Just like beauty products are formulated and marketed to bring out the best features in consumers, visual displays are envisioned and executed to illustrate the inner beauty of a brand—aka the brand story and customer experience.

As a trusted partner to the world’s most recognized names in beauty and cosmetics, Duggal has a front row seat to—and a creative hand in—the innovative displays that are delivering “wow” moments. Here are a few recent highlights:

Dior

At the height of Dior’s long-awaited e-commerce launch, shoppers in New York City’s Meatpacking District strolled into a magnificent showcase at the brand’s pop-up boutique. Duggal was commissioned by Dior to develop intricate, yet large-scale graphics in what Dior CEO Pietro Beccari described as a “cabinet of curiosities.” The creative vision came to life through custom vinyl wallpaper, laminated vinyl floor graphics and more.

Emporio Armani

A fragrance can define an experience, and in the case of Emporio Armani’s BECAUSE IT’S YOU (for her) and STRONGER WITH YOU (for him) debut, vice-versa. The Italian fashion house drew shoppers, tourists and commuters alike into an immersive brand experience in NYC’s World Trade Center Oculus for a nearly two-week span. Duggal provided material and installation consultancy to develop an 11-foot cubic banner wrap replicating the Armani brand’s signature sleek imagery with vivid detail, precise color matching and flawless adhesiveness.

Shiseido

Seeking more than the average in-store display, Shiseido was drawn to Duggal’s new LUMIPIXELS™ combining graphics and animated light. A cross-departmental project spanning rendering, fabrication, welding, acrylic, dye-sublimation, programming and installation brought a 14-foot-tall light box to perhaps New York’s most iconic shopping destination, Macy’s Herald Square.

Clarins

After a successful collaboration on Clarins’ first standalone store in the U.S., Clarins Group re-engaged us to consult on what was originally planned to be a print display for the Azzaro Wanted By Night fragrance in Macy’s Herald Square. A tour of Duggal’s vast production facility and the Duggal Innovation Lab drew the Clarins team to a much more enlivening display: a custom, interactive media table to complement the printed pieces.

Lancôme

As Lancôme’s in-store graphics partner for more than a decade, Duggal Visual Solutions was entrusted to bring BIG, bold visuals introducing Monsieur Big to stores across the U.S. We produced thousands of illuminated transparencies and banners along with uniquely cut pieces for select stores, all with expert retouching and installation.
