In the printing industry, recycling is crucial—not just when it’s convenient, but every day, all the time, with measurable goals and detailed reporting. In 2019, we actively maintained an 80{f8c4044094f0124bf860299a0114a5d2e06bca667624d2e0543982a5c74fb3d7} or better recycling rate across our facilities, recycling many materials including:
Paper
Recycling one ton of paper saves 7,000 gallons of water and 3.3 cubic yards of landfill space. In 2019, paper accounted for over 21 percent of the 580-plus tons of materials recycled at our Brooklyn Navy Yard Building 25 headquarters.
