Chanel dazzled in Dallas as the fashion world gathered for Metiers d’Art, celebrating the luxury fashion house’s history and artistry. Designed by Chanel artistic director Karl Lagerfeld, the pre-fall 2014 fashion show and Paris Dallas Collection lured nearly 1,000 celebrities, supermodels and fashion experts to historic Fair Park for a breathtaking evening.
Garry Yane provided materials consulting and Duggal produced 120 6’x4’ historic flags that hung above the show's runway. Kate McCollough, the designer brought on by Chanel for production elements of the show, worked with her team to painstakingly treat each flag to take on the appearance of natural aging, a vintage accent to the circa 1950s rodeo set. Duggal technicians ran tests on a broad range of materials to determine a solution that allowed Kate to choose the perfect effect to match the collection’s Western theme.
