A NYU Langone medical building in Manhattan has a wave of Caribbean flair, thanks to a collaboration between New York-based Laurence G. Jones Architects (LGJA) and Jamaican artist Kianne Patrice Hutchinson.
Duggal Visual Solutions’ H. Joseph Smith introduced LGJA to Hutchinson—both of whom had come to Duggal separately for previous projects—after identifying the potential fit between architectural vision and artistic style. The two took off running, with Smith as the production consultant for a lobby refresh at 145 East 32nd Street, owned by Meyer Equities.
