The 2020-21 NFL Playoffs are here, marking the successful completion of the NFL season despite the pandemic, and bringing weeks of winter excitement to viewers across the country. As the playoff teams battle for the Vince Lombardi Trophy, Duggal is looking back on its 2020 highlight reel as an ongoing graphics provider to the National Football League and our home team, the New York Jets. Super Bowl LIV Influencer Boxes It might have been the conclusion of the 2019 season, but it took place in 2020. In preparation for Super Bowl LIV in Miami, the NFL invited social media influencers to the big game by sending commemorative boxes filled with all sorts of swag and free tickets to attend. Duggal s Scott May, who has been working with the NFL for over 30 years, collaborated with the league s marketing team to design the custom turned-edge box with a magnetic closure. Printed on our HP Indigo 12000, the boxes utilized soft-touch and spot UV lamination to highlight the Super Bowl logo and impart a luxury feel. Earlier in the season, May partnered with the NFL to create its Centennial Celebration custom influencer box. Adapting to COVID Protocol As it became clear that the NFL s 101st season would be much different than any other, the league mandated large tarps across the first six to eight rows to keep players, coaches and staff safe in those stadiums where small numbers of fans were allowed, while simultaneously masking the absence of large crowds for TV viewers and creating premium advertising opportunities. Duggal produced these large banners for the New York Jets, covering 40 sections of various sizes and totaling approximately 23,000 square feet in MetLife Stadium. Rob Krolick quarterbacked the Duggal team to meet the NFL s specifications for durable, vinyl mesh, heat-welded together and stretched drum-tight with pole pockets throughout the material. Newly Renovated HQ In 2020, the NFL took the opportunity to invest in its NYC office space. From the lobby and conference rooms to the game room, tech lounge and common areas, Duggal made the NFL s HQ truly championship-ready for the future ahead.
