Capri Pants: Capri pants were designed by Sonja de Lennart, a European fashion designer, in the late 1940s. During the 1960s capris became very popular in the United States because Mary Tyler Moore wore capris in a popular television series, The Dick Van Dyke Show. Capris are pants worn in warm weather and are also referred to as high waters, pedal pushers, or three quarter pants, because they end mid-calf or just below the knee.
