While an extremely successful advertising photographer working with the likes of Sony, Microsoft and PepsiCo, George Diebold is ultimately drawn to nature.
Diebold’s “Saltwater” exhibition is a breathtaking collection of oceanic images dedicated to his lifelong fascination with the seas. The images were shot on both coasts of the U.S. and in Hawaii, where he maintains a studio on the island of Kauai. His base studio is in Montclair, N.J., just outside of NYC.
Curated by Hillary Altman, the exhibition is on display at NYC's Greensquare Tavern through February 2014, with the opening reception on December 11th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
“Relying on his ability to see beyond the traditional boundaries of landscape photography, George has captured not only the energy but the mysterious transparent complexity of saltwater in motion,” Diebold's artist statement reads.
