Hofstra University Murals: Engaging Students, Recruits and Alumni to Vibrant Campus Life

Every academic building and campus environment has the opportunity to share a story. Designers and facility management of leading institutions know this, with a keen eye into how every facility reflects the school’s overall mission and brand. The Sondra and David S. Mack Student Center at Hofstra University is one such gateway for campus life and activities. It is home to the Student Center Caf , game room, salon, meeting rooms, student clubs and organizations, administrative offices, a theater, and the Hofstra University Bookstore. Rob Krolick, Duggal’s VP of Client Services, is a proud alumnus of Hofstra and knows the energy of campus life well. With 18 years of experience as a visual consultant in environmental design and graphics, he regularly works with facilities management to update facilities, with visuals that reflect “The Pride” story. Most recently, Rob worked with the student center to install four six-foot murals of varying widths up to twenty-three feet. Each required intricate die-cutting by Duggal craftspeople in coordination with print production and highly experienced installation experts. Congratulations to Hofstra University for your vision in transforming public hallways to further enhance student life, and special recognition to Rob and his amazing partnership throughout Duggal production. Special mention to Duggal onsite installation experts, and master craftsmen in their own right, Julius Cancel, John Ramirez, and Joe Thompson.
