Empire State Building: The Empire State Building was completed in 1931 at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and West 34th Street. The building is 102-stories and was the world's tallest building until 1972 when the World Trade Center's North Tower was built. After September 11, 2001, The Empire State Building once again became the tallest building in New York City.
The Empire State Building is one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World and in 1986 it was designated a National Historic Landmark.
