Chrysler Building: The Chrysler Building was designed by William Van Alen and was the world's tallest building for just under a year before the Empire State Building surpassed it in 1931. Today, the Chrysler Building is the third tallest building in New York City after the Empire State Building and the Bank of America Tower (2nd tallest building in NYC).
The building is Art Deco architecture and is considered one of the finest buildings in NYC by many contemporary architects.
