New York Stock Exchange (NYSE): The NYSE is located in the Financial District of Manhattan at 11 Wall Street. It is the world's largest stock exchange and is composed of four rooms used for trading.
The origin of the NYSE can be dated all the way back to 1792 when the Buttonwood Agreement was signed by stock brokers. On March 8, 1817, the organization was renamed the New York Stock & Exchange Board.
