When you envision Christmas and the holidays in New York, you can’t help but think about Radio City Music Hall and Rockefeller Center. The two New York City staples go hand in hand especially during the holiday season.

Radio City Music Hall first opened their doors to the public in 1932. The Rockettes have been performing in The Radio City Christmas Spectacular for 80 years this holiday season. Radio City Music Hall was developed to feel glamorous, tasteful, elegant and available to the public at a reasonable price. John D. Rockefeller wanted this project to show the highest quality of architecture. The entire project follows an art deco style, with a stage meant to look like a setting sun. Radio City Music Hall is currently used for all types of entertainment; from music concerts, The Grammy’s, The Tony’s, Zarkana (Cirque Du Soleil), Radio City Music Spectacular and more.

Rockefeller Center is made up of multiple buildings. The most infamous building is probably the GE Building (30 Rockefeller Plaza) that was constructed at a later date. This is where the observation deck, Top of the Rock is located. Originally built in 1933 but newly renovated in 2005. On the 70^th floor there is a wide viewing area, which allows visitors to view an amazing 360-degree panoramic view of New York City. At the lower level at 30 Rockefeller Plaza visitors can also skate in the infamous Rockefeller Ice Rink and view the breathtaking Christmas Tree.
