In celebration of the life of locals in neighborhoods across the Unites States, and in support of The New York Restoration Project, Jameson Irish Whiskey recently brought together 16 craft breweries for an epic celebration at the Duggal Greenhouse. Jameson, established in the late 1700s when master distiller, James Jameson, discovered his signature blend, found just the right event partner with its choice of the Greenhouse, a site situated within a historical hub of local innovation, the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
Duggal Sales Reps, Kristen Nelson and Kimberly Leonard, ran point on the project, which included live performances by Eve & The Exiles, Kristin Diable, J-Council, Julia Haltigan and Benjamin Jaffee of HONEYHONEY. Breweries on site traveled from as far as the state of Washington, San Diego, Tampa, Florida, and Broussard, Louisiana, while the regional breweries included ones from Boston, New Jersey, and New York City’s own, Captain Lawrence Brewing Company.
The event setup included an indoor lawn with picnic tables, as well as an outdoor area with scheduled tastings. Air hockey, whiskey barrels and small bars filled out the space among other recreational touches for a huge crowd, many of whom travel by water taxi from Manhattan to the Greenhouse’s dock. Under a blue sky on a warm fall Saturday afternoon, whiskey and a beer, or two, was in full effect.
