Four-time Grammy Award winner Lenny Kravitz made a special guest performance as part of the 2016 Volkswagen Passat unveiling at the Duggal Greenhouse. The legendary rocker performed some of his greatest hits – including American Woman, Fly Away and Are You Gonna Go My Way – to a backdrop of the East River and Manhattan skyline.
Kravitz has released 10 studio albums and sold more than 38 million records worldwide. Meanwhile, his creative endeavors extend beyond his music and signature blend of rock, soul, blues, funk, reggae, psychedelic and pop.
Kravitz is an accomplished actor, having appeared in a number of films, such as Precious (2009) and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013). In 2003, he launched Kravitz Design, which extends his unique 70s retro style to luxury residential, hospitality and entertainment interior spaces. His first widely available home collection was released this year in collaboration with CB2.
Also an inspired photographer and often seen with a Leica camera in hand, Kravitz released a new photo book this year titled Flash, in coordination with an international gallery tour of his photographic work. The collection captures a unique perspective of rock life on the road, all in crisp black and white, as only Lenny Kravitz himself could convey.
