Gallery Exhibition

Aida Šehovic chose magic canvas as her medium for a poignant piece on the horrors of the 1995 Srebrenica genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Šehovic fled prior to the persecution and watched in anguish from afar. Many years later, her exhibition, “ŠTO TE NEMA (Why are You Not Here?),” at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, features traditional Bosnian coffee cups collected in memory of the 8,372 Bosnian Muslims killed by genocide. The magic canvas display is part of the museum’s Artivism exhibition.
