As featured in The Wall Street Journal, oversized photos of Barbie greet you to star publicist Alison Brod’s new headquarters.
“Anyone who walks into our office, the first thing they ask is, ‘What’s with the Barbies?’” says Brooke Scher Morgan, vice president of Alison Brod PR.
Brod was previously known for her love of the color pink, but when she saw a 10-foot-by-10-foot Barbie photo hanging in her friend Jennifer Esposito’s living room, she recalls saying aloud, “This is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen.” Esposito then showed her the entire series, titled “Girl’s Night,” featuring Barbies on the beach and in party scenes. Having hated Barbies growing up, Brod found the photos “provocative, rebellious and hilarious.”
Brod picked out a few of the more conservative images, and Esposito brought her to Duggal to have them printed and mounted for the publicist’s NYC office and Hamptons home.
Brod says the pieces add a humorous, feminine touch to her professional and personal life.
“Alison is like a real-life Barbie, always so put together and happy,” Esposito says.
