Scenic, majestic and oceanic, the Hamptons show their beauty in Duggal client Christophe von Hohenberg s book, The White Album of the Hamptons. The black and white images evoke a soothing sense of solitude, embracing the stark side that makes the tip-of-Long Island beach communities so uniquely soothing. Promoting the release, von Hohenberg is showing select images in an exhibition titled Channeling the Unseen World, on display at MM Fine Art in the photographer s hometown of Southampton, New York, August 22 to September 7, 2020. As delicate smears and ghostly shapes flesh out the familiar yet distant dreamscape of the beaches, von Hohenberg s photographs intimate an ineffable feeling haunting, serene, and sublime, Jay McInerney writes in the book s foreword. The White Album of the Hamptons provides a visual record of von Hohenberg’s experiment in capturing the soul of the Hamptons and its unseen world of transcendent illumination. Duggal Visual Solutions began producing images for Channeling the Unseen World in March, when the coronavirus pandemic turned New York City into a ghost town. During and after the citywide shutdown, Duggal s Richard Rogers continued collaborating with von Hohenberg to deliver 18 fine art prints for sale. The images, with their sparse figures and blinding sunlight, are more relatable now than ever. Von Hohenberg is recognized for his work in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, and countless publications globally. He has photographed advertising campaigns for Givenchy, Estee Lauder, New York Times, and others. Von Hohenberg s experience with Duggal dates back as long as we can both remember, he says, recalling his friendship with our late founder, Baldev Duggal.
