Duggal Visual Solutions, a leading printing and graphics provider for more than 50 years, has reached one of the most meaningful milestones in its proud history with the production of 1 million face shields for first responders and healthcare workers battling New York City s COVID-19 outbreak.
After a celebratory and socially distant rally to recognize the one millionth face shield made since March, Duggal and Bednark Studio printing industry comrades and Brooklyn Navy Yard neighbors returned to the assembly stations at Duggal s Brooklyn venue, the Duggal Greenhouse, to continue to produce critical personal protective equipment (PPE) for as long as the health crisis in New York continues. In addition to face shields, Duggal s production shift has expanded to include medical aprons and intubation boxes. As of May 13th , the team of 200 workers at the Greenhouse has produced and delivered over 1 million face shields, 150,000 medical aprons and 60 intubation boxes.
We have been going seven days a week with staff who have volunteered to come in, risking their health to help others, said Michael Duggal, CEO of Duggal. I am here with them each day and continue to draw strength and inspiration from what we accomplish together. A trusted advisor and partner in helping the world s leading brands communicate visually with their customers, Duggal Visual Solutions is also uniquely positioned to establish the new normal in retail when businesses reopen. Consultants and content creators from the Duggal InnoLab have been working with top brands, cultural institutions and venues to coordinate social distancing signage, contactless displays, custom partition shields, kiosk technology, antimicrobial materials and other visual solutions combining traditional and digital mediums. How will you maintain a safe environment? said Glenn Rabbach, VP and Creative Director at the Duggal InnoLab. What will you need to communicate to customers? How will you adhere to the new normal while continuing to elevate your brand? Insights from Rabbach and the InnoLab team are available in Duggal s ongoing series of COVID-19 comeback webinars. The first session drew a full attendance of 200 decision-makers in customer experience as Duggal s experts presented photographs and mock-ups illustrating how leading and luxe brands can envision the age of social distancing through a creative lens. We have been able to retain staff, repurpose our materials for the greater good, and apply our expertise to our clients immediate needs and the challenges ahead all at once, Duggal said. Our efforts are inspiring and giving hope beyond what we could have imagined.
