In December 2012, non-profit charity Project Paz (Peace) hosted the 3rd annual Project Art in New York City's SoHo district, raising over $150,000 to support children's programs and education in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Once a vibrant economic center, this border community has fallen to street violence and death in the wake of warring drug cartels and related crime. Funds raised support Ampliando el Desarrollo de los Niños (Extending the Development of Children), enriching the lives of young people, expanding academic skills, protecting them from street violence and involvement in gang activity.
Duggal Visual Solutions was a proud sponsor, providing museum quality custom art and prints for auction by world-recognized photographers and fashion designers, including: Kean Etro, Thakoon, Tommy Hilfiger, Gilles Mendel de J Mendel, Carolina Herrera, Narcisco Rodriguez, Aerin Lauder, Tory Burch and Derek Lam. Duggal also provided custom graphics, design elements and signage for the event.
Duggal Big Picture Foundation continues to support Project Paz to keep even more children off the violent streets of Juarez, and help them dream of a better future through arts and creativity.
