The Very Warm Fashionable Outwear

When cousins Shai and David Peyser, part of the clan behind outerwear company, Weatherproof, decided to start their own branch of the family business, The Very Warm, they turned to the cultural vibrancy of New York City streets for inspiration. Their love for art, street art in particular, proved to be the perfect muse for their innovative coat designs and their recent collaborative pop up shop/art gallery event, The Very Warm x Odin New York.

Based on Weatherproof’s long-term partnership with Duggal Visual Solutions Sales Rep, Brittany Wirtz, the Peysers turned to Duggal for the art gallery portion of the pop-up. Working on a fast turn-around, large gallery prints and 20 limited edition prints, for seven participating artists, were completed with precision and skill. The production process, requiring efficient oversight in order to navigate a materials review by the clients, tests sent to individual artists for approval, and the shipping of the 16”x20” limited edition prints and certificates of authenticity to the artists for signing, was no small task.

The large-scale gallery prints produced and mounted on DiBond and installed by Duggal throughout Odin’s storefront location in SoHo, were printed on Moab Entrada Rag and Sunset Hot Press Rag papers for their texture and ability to amplify the visual appeal of the images. Certificates of Authenticity to accompany the sale of the limited edition prints were printed on eggshell paper in the Indigo Department, adding an elegant touch to the acquisition of artworks by collectors.

The inclusion of custom works of art in The Very Warm’s outerwear designs was perfectly complemented by the visual art on the walls at Odin, offering a unique retail experience for enthusiasts of both contemporary men and women’s fashion and art inspired by the energy and creativity of the street.
