It was while working and traveling through Europe when Reka Nyari discovered her true passion for photography and decided to move back to NYC—she had previously graduated from the School of Visual Arts—to pursue the art form as a career.
Now, Nyari is finding herself hopping planes back to Europe to exhibit her photography in the heart of the global art scene, thanks to the success of her Ink Stories series capturing the strength of women who have chosen to tell their life stories on their skin through the art of tattooing.
Nyari’s Mother Ink collection is on display at the Venice Biennale as part of the “PERSONAL STRUCTURES - Identities” exhibition through Nov. 24. Mother Ink tells the brave and resilient story of a woman named Leah’s transformation through self-expression, forgiveness, sacrifice, and love.
Duggal Visual Solutions congratulates Nyari on her sweeping success and is proud to produce her prints exhibited and purchased around the world. Nyari has been working with Duggal’s Hillary Altman for nearly a decade.
“I love working with Duggal because I can always count on their quality and service,” Nyari said. “Hillary has an artistic eye herself. She makes sure everything is perfect, especially when it comes to a series, where every photo needs to match the tone and mood.”
