Duggal Visual Solutions congratulates the United States Tennis Association (USTA) on another successful US Open–quite possibly the most memorable yet.
Every summer, Duggal’s Hillary Altman leads our production and installation team in preparing the 50-acre Billie Jean King National Tennis Center for the global stage. The Queens, NY complex is one of the most beautiful in all of sports, especially when it comes alive for two weeks of interactive displays, exhibitions, gift shops, first-rate dining, Grey Goose Honey Deuces and non-stop tennis action in every direction.
The 2016 Open was marked by the introduction of roughly $550 million worth of renovations, including a retractable roof over Arthur Ashe Stadium and a brand new, 8,125-seat Grandstand. In addition to its annual volume of exhibition displays, flags, banners, light boxes, directional signage and draw boards, Duggal had opening honors to produce the first on-court sponsorship graphics to be installed in the renovated Ashe and new Grandstand stadiums.
We also created a more than 23-foot-tall #PlayForLife graphic encouraging fans to share their love for tennis with the USTA on social media, along with the last graphics to adorn the legendary Louis Armstrong Stadium before it is replaced with a bigger, roof-ready stadium (also to be named after Armstrong).
