Team Duggal Walks It Out in Support of Breast Cancer Research

On Sunday October 21st Duggal’s dedicated team sauntered through Central Park in what can only be described as “walking weather”, for the worthy cause of breast cancer research. The annual American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk was again populated by thousands of supporters festooned in every shade of fuchsia one could wear. Team Duggal (which even had a dog, Choco, on it) gathered at 5th Avenue on the Upper East Side to distribute our specially designed shirts to our walkers and soon made haste towards the start line. There we met an undulating crowd of enthused walkers with whom we sought to breach the starting ribbon, however that crowd forced us around the spot. Ever the fearless leader, our Marketing Director, Heather, made a very Duggal-ian move and blazed her own path to the walk, shepherding our group along the way. Once we joined the walkers we trekked until we found ourselves 5 miles closer to a cure.

All in all we raised an impressive $2746 for breast cancer research, which Mike Duggal thoughtfully offered to match, supporting our communal efforts and comradery. Our appreciation and thanks go out to Heather for organizing Team Duggal’s efforts and helping to provide a happy and health Sunday morning for everyone involved.
