As if bringing trendy fashion and an electrifying shopping atmosphere to New York wasn’t enough, our friends at UNIQLO are now helping you experience one of the world’s greatest museums for free.
UNIQLO is now the exclusive, multi-year corporate sponsor of the Museum of Modern Art’s free Friday night admission program. Every Friday all year long, visitors can stroll over to MoMA between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. for free admission to exhibitions, screenings and the Abby Aldrich Sculpture Garden.
“Providing free museum admission year-round helps MoMA fulfill its mission of developing new audiences and making art accessible to a wider public,” MoMA Director Glenn D. Lowry said in a press release. “As a major corporate partner, UNIQLO plays an essential role in helping the museum bring the very best in modern and contemporary art to our diverse national and international audience.”
Chairman, President & CEO of Fast Retailing Tadashi Yanai said he is honored by the opportunity to partner UNIQLO with his “favorite museum in the world” just down 53rd street from the 5th Avenue flagship UNIQLO store.
Since Free Friday nights started in 2004, nearly 3 million visitors have enjoyed free admission to MoMA and its spectacular art and entertainment. The program was previously sponsored by Target.
