Washington Square Outdoors Art Exhibit:

Right in the heart of Greenwich Village is Washington Square’s 83rd annual outdoor art exhibit. This art exhibition will be underway for Memorial Day weekend. To celebrate, many attendees from all over will showcase their art and crafts from all around New York City. Art lovers, tourists and students from all over can come out and enjoy the artistic and raw talents of many artists from around the area.

 Intrepid’s Summer Salute to Heroes

Intrepid Sea, Air And Space Museum kicks-off their annual Summer Salute to Hero’s. Pier 86 will be filled with many displays, hands on activities, and live performances. The Memorial Day Ceremony will feature a 100-food American flag that will be unfolding for all to see. This is a great way to kick of summer and pay tribute to those who have served our country. All events are free and open to the public.

Lower East Side Festival of the Arts

The 18th annual Lower East Side Festival of the Arts will be underway this Memorial Day weekend. Each free event will take place in four different locations. All the venues will have many performances and art exhibits from around the city. This is one of the most diverse festivals that celebrate  this weekend, both indoor and outdoor.  All ages are welcome!

Cloisters Family Festival

As a part of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Cloisters Family Festival will be held all weekend long. You and your family can enjoy a medieval Memorial Day Weekend by participating in art hunts and craft projects. This is a great way to get the family out of the house and tour the museum’s galleries and garden.
