Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Every year for Thanksgiving Macy’s hold their Thanksgiving Day Parade. This year it will usher in the holiday season with sites and sounds like giant balloons, the famous rockettes and of course Santa’s sleigh. There will also, as always celebrity appearances throughout the parade.

Scott Reeder, “People Call Me Scott” 

This particular show is dominated by compositions created by spray painted pasta laid down on canvas. The largest work features the outlines of alphabet-soup letters all laid out onto a black canvas. You will view many spray-painted aluminum sculptures resembling paper balls tossed on the floor, plus Reeeder’s phone number.

Willem de Kooning, “Ten Paintings, 1983-1985” 

Many of De Kooning’s paintings are a range of his works of are throughout his career. His furious famous brushwork and style responded as a logical and schematic code. A lot of De Kooning’s work happened around the same time when he slid into Alzheimer’s. Some of the canvases will show a look from the beginnings to the end of his work.
