We are looking for a professional Prepress Manager – Wide Format Printing to oversee all prepress operations. This role is essential for maintaining Duggal’s reputation for flawless execution, ensuring all visual campaigns—from concept to final file—meet the highest standards of color consistency, quality, and production readiness.

The successful candidate will be a technical leader expected to drive efficiency, implement cutting-edge prepress automation, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the profitable and timely delivery of complex retail and brand solutions.

 
Core Responsibilities:

The core function of this role is to drive technical mastery and manage the integrity of digital assets for Fortune 500 caliber companies. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute a robust workflow strategy, directing daily prepress operations and staff to ensure alignment with rigorous production and client delivery schedules.
  • Proactively manage the digital asset pipeline, reviewing artwork, proofs, and job specifications to guarantee 100% file accuracy, consistency, and compliance before release to press.
  • Implement automation tools and layout optimizations that reduce material waste, minimize manual errors, and improve production throughput and profitability.
  • Cultivate and enforce deep, consistent color standards and management protocols across all platforms, overseeing proofing and internal/client approval processes.
  • Collaborate internally with Production Planning, Project Management, and Pressroom teams to proactively communicate job readiness, flag potential risks, and ensure successful project management and delivery of customized solutions.
  • Train and mentor the Prepress team, positioning the department as an innovative, high-productivity asset critical to client success.

 

Qualifications

A background that includes strategic prepress leadership, hands-on delivery of complex print file solutions, and success in driving technical innovation and cost reduction.

  • 5+ years of experience in wide format or large format prepress, including leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of file preparation, RIPs, color management, and prepress workflow automation tools.
  • Must be a self-starter and creative problem-solver with a process-focused approach, demonstrating exceptional cross-departmental collaboration skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for coordinating complex technical needs across non-technical teams are non-negotiable.
  • Familiarity with print MIS or production systems is a significant plus.
