On March 25, 2020, as New York City hospitals battled one of the most severe coronavirus outbreaks in the world, Duggal Visual Solutions quickly converted its Brooklyn Navy Yard production from printed graphics and custom fabrication to face shields and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to meet the state of New York’s growing demand in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Partnering with Brooklyn Navy Yard neighbor Bednark Studio to scale the operation and retain staff, both companies were able to give jobs to local artists and meet the dire need for PPE.
Our CEO, Michael Duggal shared, "Four days ago, Duggal designed and manufactured visual displays and printed graphics, today we are collaborating with the Brooklyn Navy Yard and Bednark Studios to manufacture life saving Personal Protection Screens for our first responders. I could not be more proud of my team, all volunteers who came in under difficult circumstances to work around the clock to get these devices into the hands of first responders."
