Duggal Visual Solutions and Spaeth Design share a passion for magical window displays.
Like Duggal, Spaeth Design has been creating many of New York City’s most memorable storefront holiday windows for decades. Having contributed to NY’s Christmastime travel allure for so long, Spaeth Design was a natural fit for a partnership with luxury “World Travel” retailer, Mosafer, whose glass-fronted 57th Street flagship store between 5th and 6th Avenues provided the perfect canvas for an artistic vision augmented by the industry-leading production expertise of Duggal.
Spaeth Design and Duggal collaborated on a larger-than-life, NASA-style view of Planet Earth for Mosafer. Consulting Duggal associate, Hope Savvides, Spaeth’s point person for the last 10 years, the Spaeth Design team chose a material called Lintec that provides a clear surface with an adhesive back.
Duggal’s production team at Brooklyn Navy Yard Building 25, led by Geoff Cresap, printed the 22 ft. x 20 ft. image on a large format UV flatbed printer in four precisely cut panels, with white ink to achieve a telescopic effect. The end result, adhered to Mosafer’s two-story glass exterior around the store entrance, inspires passersby to dream of and act on the exhilaration of world travel.
