Duggal Visual Solutions is firmly committed to innovating, detoxifying and recycling across all aspects of our supply chain and production. This ethos is exemplified in our SGP (Sustainable Green Printing Partnership), FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), G7 (Idealliance), and Rainforest Alliance certifications—but our mission runs much deeper. We are raising the bar for the entire graphics industry to adopt environmentally responsible practices and reduce our collective ecological footprint.
Duggal takes inspiration from resources such as the Natural Step, Cradle to Cradle and Life Cycle Analysis—sustainability frameworks to aid in environmentally friendly product development and printing, as well as responsible end of life management. Products like Eco Weaves, Eco Ultra Poplin, and Eco Wallpaper have allowed us to offer immediate alternatives to their toxic substitutes used as a standard by the rest of the industry. Our entire Eco-Imaging product line is designed as a closed loop system, so that when the products manufactured reach their end of life, they are transported to our partner recycling facility and brought back into the production chain. Currently, we are recycling between 80-90% of all waste from our production facilities.
Duggal’s Brooklyn Navy Yard headquarters are also the first production facility to ever receive LEED gold certification. LEED certified buildings save money and resources, making a positive impact on the health of occupants while promoting renewable, clean energy. Meanwhile, the Duggal Greenhouse serves as a laboratory in new technology, utilizing solar energy, organic air purification and eco-friendly building practices.
Our hope is that by taking a leadership position both in our industry and in the world, we will be able to influence our clients, suppliers, employees and partners alike to join us in making the right decisions toward a more sustainable future.
