Duggal Visual Solutions helps Massapequa High School deck the halls at Westfield Sunrise and for a good cause.
Students from the Fashion Marketing Class will be at Westfield Sunrise to put together a holiday window display for the LI2Day Breast Cancer Walk.
Students from the Fashion Marketing Class at Massapequa High School were Westfield Sunrise on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 to put together a holiday window display for the LI2Day Breast Cancer Walk. Westfield Sunrise extended window space to the not-for-profit to help raise breast cancer awareness and promote the Annual LI2Day Breast Cancer Walk. Twice a year the windows are updated and over the past few years, LI2DAY has enlisted the support of the Fashion Marketing Class to help keep the windows fresh and in season. Duggal Visual Solutions has donated their time, talent and services for over the past five years by donating 6-foot banners. This year LI2DAY used the oversized banners as backdrops in the window display put together by the students.
LI2DAY to use LI2Day Executive Director, Ginny Salerno said, “LI2DAY is fortunate to have the support from Duggal Visual Solutions, John Venditto, Oyster Bay Town Supervisor, the Massapequa High School, Denise DeLury, School to Career Coordinator and Marianne Conte, Fashion Marketing Teacher. For the past three years the Fashion Marketing Class has put together our “Spring” window displays and now they have agreed to help put together the “Holiday” window displays. Chris Brivio, General, General Manager, Westfield Sunrise, Massapequa, NY, said, “Westfield recognizes the high rate of breast cancer on Long Island and is compelled to do our part in raising awareness. The window displays help the LI2Day Breast Cancer Walk reach a greater number of people. This year Westfield reached out to retailers and I am happy to say that JC Penney’s and Lane Bryant have agreed to provide apparel for the students to use in putting together the window display.”
