The Film Society at Lincoln Center is a world renowned tastemaker when it comes to cinema. Founded in 1969, it has presented films by both emerging directors and established pioneers for decades, including Martin Scorsese, Spike Lee, Pedro Almodovar, and Wes Anderson to name a few.
For their signature event, The New York Film Festival, the most prestigious of its kind in the United States, the Film Society returned to its ongoing partnership with Duggal Visual Solutions Sales Rep, Ann Claire Benson, to develop and coordinate graphics for this year’s 55th annual two-and-a-half-week event.
Graphics for both press-related activities and interactive features for visitors were a top priority. Touch screens for audience interaction with the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s website, developed by Inno lab, who worked with the client to create a customized experience, were housed in pillars featuring graphics printed and installed by Duggal.
Press walls and their frames, constructed by Duggal’s team, also featured graphics printed in house. One 50’ x 10’ solid panel wall containing 3D elements was installed outside the festival entrance, while a 30’ x 8’ SEG fabric wall rotating four different graphics - changed out throughout the two week event - was installed indoors in a common area. Inside two theaters, a 10’ x 8’ solid panel press wall was constructed, and one 12’ x 8’ was located in a third.
Additional event marketing materials, including logo decals and printed pieces for various locations at the festival, were also created in a massive team effort across departments. Special thanks goes out to Tricia Gagliardo for her organization and communications expertise throughout the project.
