Right in Duggal’s own back yard, Orly Genger’s has come up with a striking exhibit that is located in Madison Square Park. The 1.4 million feet of hand-knotted rope surrounds the park with the primary colors of red, yellow and blue. Madison Square has become a great destination to relax after work or even to sit down to have lunch. After the artwork’s final days in September the installation will then be transported to Boston in October 2013. This large artwork will be on display till September 8th.
The Pop Object: The Still Life Tradition in Pop Art
Many works from various artists and their personal collections will be on display at the Acquavella Galleries this spring. This exhibition’s central focus of pop art shows how fun and witty the particular art can be viewed as. Many of the artists will be showing their work, through four of the major themes that where picked for the exhibit such as: food and drink, the garden, body parts, and clothing and housewares.
Hauser & Wirth New York will devote their entire spring program in NYC to Paul McCarthy and his art work. Known as one of the most influential artists, McCarty has his contribution of sculptures known for their masculinity. Such art work of the Seven Dwarfs as well as many more figures that represent manhood. There will be two galleries of McCarthy’s work exhibited at Hauser & Wirth New York. ‘Paul McCarthy: Life Cast’ and’ Paul McCarthy: Sculptures’ collection is now open through June 1st.
Marry Guy has made mobile digital technology a form of free video art. This exhibit features many forms of digital technology such as: tablets, IPhones and micro projectors. The focus on this particular exhibit is freeing video art from those well know flat screens and darken galleries.
