Since its founding in 1765, Hennessy has pushed the limits of achievement in every medium; be it through Cognac, or modern marketing. Renowned for pioneering an artistic approach to promoting their product, Hennessy enlists acclaimed artists and designers in their global advertising. This pathos was illuminated in their ‘The Seven Worlds’ of Hennessy XO by Ridley Scott pop-up at John F. Kennedy (JFK) International Airport, New York, where Hennessy partnered with Duggal Visual Solutions to create a 10-screen video wall.
As previously reported, ‘The Seven Worlds’ is an short film exploring Scott’s creative interpretations of the seven tasting notes in Hennessy’s signature cognac Hennessy XO, as described by Hennessy’s Comité de Dégustation – Sweet Notes, Rising Heat, Spicy Edge, Flowing Flame, Chocolate Lull, Wood Crunches and Infinite Echo.
“Hennessy has a great product, and I was lucky enough to have the freedom to interpret this and create something amazing. I think people will be stunned when they see the film,” said Ridley Scott. “It’s more than advertising, it's an art form.”
Hennessy continued their tradition of partnering with cutting edge artists and designers by enlisting Duggal’s help in creating their custom digital display at JFK. Comprised of ten screens with narrow bezeling to fill the 134” x 95” space, the video wall displaying Scott’s epic at JFK was expertly developed and installed by Duggal’s Innovation Lab.
Time was of the essence and the Duggal Team responded immediately to Hennessy’s request, producing the wall, creating a custom install and aligning all of the supplied content to fit the screens with just a two-week turnaround. By devising this show stopping video wall, Duggal was able to help Hennessy captivate JFK’s holiday traffic.
