Have you ever wondered what the horizon would look like if Earth had rings like Saturn’s?
Either way, award-winning science artist Ron Miller’s latest work is sure to capture that space-inclined corner of your imagination.
Miller is an absolute genius – both creatively and in terms of knowledge – in the areas of science and astronomy. He has published more than 40 books, and his illustrations have been featured in dozens of magazines including National Geographic, Smithsonian, Reader’s Digest, Newsweek and GEO. His latest set of illustrations has created quite a buzz online, and we’re intrigued, too.
Miller’s imagery depicts how Earth’s landscape would appear if rings orbited our planet. This isn’t just fluffy goof-around stuff, though. Earth’s rings in the pictures are in proportion to the true properties of Saturn’s rings, and each image shows a spectacular, realistic view from a different part of the world.
