‘The Fence’ 2016 is Open for Submissions

United Photo Industries (UPI) is taking submissions for everyone’s favorite massive outdoor photo exhibition, viewed by more than 3 million people each year.

The 5th annual edition of ‘The Fence” is bigger and better than ever. Since its 2012 inception in Brooklyn Bridge Park, the curated photographic mural has expanded across the U.S. to now include five installations: Brooklyn, Boston, Atlanta, Houston, and for the first time, Santa Fe. This year’s competition is also the first to include a $5,000 cash prize in addition to more than $15,000 worth of gear and press.

Photographers of all levels, from all walks of life, in all corners of the globe are invited to submit their best photo series capturing the essence of “community” in any of six categories: Creatures, Home, People, Play, Streets, and Nature. Submissions are automatically entered for all five cities and judged by a panel of 45 esteemed photography professionals from around the world.

Duggal Visual Solutions is the proud production partner for “The Fence.” We’re also counting down to Photoville, United Photo Industries’ annual pop-up photography village in Brooklyn Bridge Park and the original venue for what has become a nationwide public art exhibition.
