Using side lightings and folds of fabric, Salle photographs are of a model performing improvised movements under a sheet in his 1992 series. All but two paintings were stained hue of luminous, transparent ink. The ghostly theme of Salle’s work manifests in the model herself, except for her arm and leg, remains unseen.
